Preston Lloyd Named to 2018 Class of Up & Coming Lawyers by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Preston Lloyd has been named to the 2018 class of “Up & Coming Lawyers” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which is in its third, recognizes top attorneys within their first 10 years of practice. Previous Williams Mullen honorees include Cart Reilly and Alyssa Embree. The honorees will be celebrated at a reception on Oct. 25 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.
Preston joined Williams Mullen in the fall of 2008 after earning his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia. Since then, he has established himself as one of the top real estate and land use attorneys in the state of Virginia. As a member of the firm's Finance & Real Estate Section and co-chair of the Land Use Practice, Preston counsels national, regional and local property owners and developers in connection with commercial real estate transactions, especially matters related to land use and zoning, economic development, historic preservation, public finance and local government law in jurisdictions in Virginia. He assists in aspects of the entire development cycle, from negotiating the purchase/sale of land, to site development, financing, and leasing.
He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© for Land Use and Zoning Law (2018-present), named among Virginia's "Legal Elite" by Virginia Business magazine (2016-present) and listed by Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars for Land Use/Zoning Law (2017-present). In 2015, he was named to Style Weekly's Top 40 Under 40 list.
