Reggie Jones Named to the 2016 Class of ‘Leaders in the Law’ by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Reggie Jones has been named to the 2016 class of “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which recognizes lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers in Virginia, named 26 people to the 2016 class. The honorees will be celebrated at a reception on Oct. 27 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.
For more than 40 years, Reggie Jones has represented businesses and associations, including many Fortune 500 companies, interested in numerous areas of the law before the Virginia General Assembly. He has represented clients seeking to change the law in a variety of industries, including health care, telecommunications, technology, historic preservation, energy, professional services, pharmaceuticals, financial institutions and economic development, among others
Reggie has served on the board of trustees at the University of Richmond and as president of the Richmond College and University of Richmond Law School alumni associations. He serves on the board of directors of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation. Additionally, he is past president of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., the 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation.
He is a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Robins Foundation and served as counsel to the Virginia State Golf Association Foundation. Reggie was the first citizen member appointed to the Virginia Board of Medicine, was the founding president of the Henrico County Bar Association, was appointed to the Virginia Early Learning Council by Governor Warner and currently serves as Chairman of the board of directors of the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation
He was named the Best Lawyers® Government Relations “Lawyer of the Year” in Richmond in 2013 and 2016. In addition, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© since 2007, and he was named among Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine from 2008-2013. He is also a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and the American Bar Foundation.
