Pro Bono

Sharing our skills and our time to truly make a difference.

As attorneys, we have an ethical obligation to perform pro bono work for those who are unable to afford legal services. It is a commitment we take very seriously.

Each year, our attorneys perform thousands of hours of pro bono work, individually, as part of a firm initiative or together, with our clients. We are very proud of the impact our team members make in our communities, the collaboration with our clients and for the recognition they receive for their efforts.

"Overseeing Williams Mullen’s pro bono efforts has been profoundly rewarding. Every day I have the privilege of witnessing the impact our attorneys make providing much-needed legal services to those in need.”

—  Lynn K. Brugh, Partner & Chair, Pro Bono Committee

Pro Bono Client Partnerships

We know there is power in teamwork and collaboration. This is especially true when meeting the legal needs of the underserved in our communities. We partner with our clients on pro bono matters involving criminal justice, housing preservation and other important issues. We also offer client training on legal topics for in-house pro bono teams.

Firm Pro Bono Initiatives

Williams Mullen has longstanding, firm driven pro bono initiatives that engage our attorneys, our paralegals and staff members. Our team members have an opportunity to work together at events and legal clinics to address important legal needs of area residents.
