Brendan O’Toole Speaking at NACDL Webinar: "Second Chance Stories: Returning to Freedom"
Brendan O’Toole will be speaking at a free, live NACDL Webinar: "Second Chance Stories: Returning to Freedom" on Thursday, March 31 from 2:30pm – 3:30pm ET.
Since 2017, NACDL and other national partners have recognized April as Second Chance Month, to raise awareness about the obstacles faced by over 70 million Americans with a criminal record.
During the webinar, recent clemency recipients and their attorneys, paired through NACDL’s Return to Freedom Projects, will delve into the critical importance of second chances for incarcerated individuals. The discussion will be moderated by Return to Freedom Project Legal director John Albanes. Brendan will be joined by fellow speakers Sincere B. Allah, Clemency Recipient; Chalana McFarland, Advocate; and Cynthia Roseberry, Deputy Director of Policy at the ACLU, Justice Division.
