Farhad Aghdami Presents at the 75th Annual Virginia Conference on Federal Taxation

Farhad Aghdami will deliver a presentation titled “Planning Ahead of the Sunset,” during the 75th annual Virginia Conference on Federal Taxation, which is sponsored by the Virginia Tax Foundation.

The presentation will cover planning opportunities (and pitfalls) related to the scheduled reduction of the estate, gift, and GST exemption amounts from $10 million (as adjusted for inflation) to $5 million (as adjusted for inflation) in 2026. It will also review methods to avoid the application of step transaction and reciprocal trust doctrines and best practices for gifting hard-to-value assets with defined value transfer clauses.
