Alyssa Embree Named to 2016 Class of ‘Up & Coming Lawyers' by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Alyssa Embree has been named to the 2016 class of “Up & Coming Lawyers” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which recognizes top attorneys within their first 10 years of practice, named 14 people to the inaugural 2016 class. The honorees will be celebrated at a reception on Oct. 27 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.
Alyssa began practicing in 2006 upon graduation from the Tulane University School of Law. She joined Williams Mullen in 2013, and she was elected partner in 2015. Alyssa has extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions, particularly related to office, multifamily, industrial, retail and mixed-use development, leasing and finance.
She serves on the Board of Directors and as the Secretary of the Hampton Roads chapter of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), and on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the d’ART Center. Alyssa is also the chair of the Programs Committee for HRACRE (Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate) and serves on the Board Development Committee for the Girl Scout Council of the Colonial Coast.
She was named to the “Top 40 under 40” by Inside Business in 2015, and she has been named among Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business magazine (2013-present) and as a “Rising Star” by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine (2013-present).
