Chuck James discusses amicus brief filed on behalf of Virginia colleges in AP story
In an Associated Press article published in the Washington Post, Chuck James discussed an amicus brief that he and Joe Pope filed in support of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Virginia Tech president Charles Steger. The brief, which was signed by every president of a four year college and a good number of presidents from our community college system, argues that Mr. Steger should be granted immunity from civil actions in response to the 2007 shooting on the Virginia Tech campus. It was filed with the Virginia Supreme Court, who will be hearing an appeal of a negligence suit filed by the parents of two students killed in the shootings. The article is available here.
