David Burton Crowned King Neptune XLV for Annual Neptune Festival

On April 14, 2018, David Burton was officially crowned King Neptune XLV for the upcoming 45^th Annual Neptune Festival in Virginia Beach. In addition to honoring the long-standing tradition of growing a beard, David will serve as a ceremonial leader and goodwill ambassador for the city during the Neptune Festival, which culminates with the Boardwalk Weekend Sept. 28-30. He serves as a member of the board of directors of the Neptune Festival, as well as a member of its Executive Committee. In 2017, the Neptune Festival awarded David with the John J. Kruger Award for outstanding service to the Festival and the community.
