Employee Benefits Attorney Marc Purintun Joins Williams Mullen as Partner
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Marc Purintun has joined our firm as a Partner in our Employee Benefits practice. Mr. Purintun comes to the firm from Hunton & Williams and will be working out of the Richmond office.
Mr. Purintun focuses his practice on all areas of employee benefits, including qualified and non-qualified retirement plans and executive compensation arrangements. He also represents his clients before the IRS, the US Department of Labor, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation to utilize voluntary correction programs, resolve regulatory audits, and obtain administrative rulings, determinations and exemptions.

Mr. Purintun serves as a board member of the Virginia Equality Bar Association and is a member of the Tax Section of the Virginia Bar Association and the Employee Benefits Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section. In 2014 and 2015, he was selected for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America” in Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law.
Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Mr. Purintun worked at Hunton & Williams in their Employee Benefits practice. Before that, he practiced at McGuireWoods. He earned his Master of Laws in Taxation with a certificate in Employee Benefits at Georgetown University and his Juris Doctor at William and Mary Law School. He also earned a B.A. from Macalester College.
