Finance & Real Estate Associate Returns to Williams Mullen

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Veronica Barkley has rejoined the firm’s Finance & Real Estate Section as an associate in the Raleigh office.

Barkley focuses her practice on the representation of commercial banks and other financial institutions, including commercial and real estate loan documentation, asset-based lending, creditors’ rights, problem loan workouts, bankruptcies and reorganizations.

Barkley began her legal career with Williams Mullen in 2019. She rejoined the firm in March 2022 after serving as associate legal counsel for CATO SMS, a contract research organization headquartered in Cary, North Carolina.

Barkley earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She was also a member of the North Carolina Law Review, served on the UNC Law Pro Bono Board and was an Honors Writing Scholar. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from American University.
