Jennifer Ligon Named to Virginia Bar Association's Board of Governors
Congratulations to Jennifer Ligon, who was recently named to the Virginia Bar Association's (VBA) Board of Governors. She was also named the chair-elect of the VBA's Young Lawyers Division. In addition, Jennifer serves as the Health Law Section's Young Lawyers Representative. In 2017, she served as secretary-treasurer of the Young Lawyers Division and, from 2015-2017, she served as a development editor of the Young Lawyers Division’s publication, Opening Statement.
Jennifer focuses her practice on transactional and regulatory matters, including state licensure compliance, Certificate of Public Need (COPN) matters, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters, for hospitals, long-term care providers and physician groups. She has been listed in Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Stars magazine (2016-present) and, in 2016, she was named among Virginia's "Legal Elite" by Virginia Business magazine. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University.
