Jennifer McLemore Named to 2024 Class of “Influential Women of Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Jennifer McLain McLemore has been named to the 2024 class of “Influential Women of Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The award program honors women attorneys and judges for their work on behalf of clients, their commitment to their communities and their service to the profession. The honorees will be celebrated during a recognition program on February 27.
McLemore is a partner in the Financial Services and Real Estate Section at Williams Mullen and serves on Williams Mullen's Diversity & Inclusion Committee as chair of the firm’s Women's Initiative. She has more than two decades of experience advising commercial creditors, business creditors, banks and credit unions in bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation matters nationwide. She frequently represents clients in matters involving debtor-in-possession financing arrangements and asset identification and recovery matters.
McLemore founded the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) Virginia network in 2006, where she later received the IWIRC's Melnik Award, which is awarded to a member who has made an exceptional contribution to the IWIRC and served as chair from 2018-2019.
McLemore received her Juris Doctor degree, from the University of Richmond School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude and with university honors, from Miami University.
