Mike Kelly Named to 2019 Class of Leaders in the Law by Virginia Lawyers Weekly

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Mike Kelly has been named to the 2019 class of “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which recognizes lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers in Virginia, named 30 people to the 2019 class. The honorees will be celebrated at a reception on Oct. 22 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond.

Mike has more than 25 years of experience in the representation of commercial banks and other financial institutions, with extensive involvement in commercial and real estate loan documentation, asset based lending, automotive dealer finance, letters of credit, problem loan workouts, creditors’ rights, bankruptcies, reorganizations, lender liability litigation, bank operations and deposit and collection procedures.

He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America^© for Banking Law, Litigation - Banking and Finance, Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Law and Real Estate Law since 2008. Best Lawyers^® has named him the Norfolk “Lawyer of the Year” for Banking & Finance Law twice (2009, 2012) and for Litigation – Banking and Finance Law once (2018).  He has also been named among Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business (2008, 2010, 2013), recognized in Virginia Super Lawyers (2013-present) and listed as one of the Top Lawyers of Coastal Virginia by CoVa Biz Magazine (2018-present).
