Williams Mullen Advises TowneBank in Acquisition of Paragon Commercial Corporation and Paragon Commercial Bank
On April 27, 2017, TowneBank announced they had agreed to a merger with Raleigh-based Paragon Commercial Bank that will create a $9.7 billion community bank. The deal expands TowneBank’s presence into the Raleigh and Charlotte markets in North Carolina. Williams Mullen’s Community Banking team led by Scott Richter, Ben McCall, Whit Whitham, Lee Lester and Charles Kemp - along with Larry Parker, Craig Rascoe, Sara Rafal, Anna Derewenda, Conrad Garcia, Nona Massengill and Bobby Hamlett – represented TowneBank in the deal.
