Williams Mullen Attorney Cameron Rountree Graduates with Distinction from the Naval War College
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Cameron Rountree, a Litigation attorney with extensive experience in ITAR and Export Controls work, has graduated with distinction from the Naval War College, earning a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies. This advanced degree, coupled with his experience as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy and his prosecutorial experience from his work in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, gives him a valuable perspective when advising on export controls regulations and compliance.
Cameron joined Williams Mullen in January 2014 and has represented clients in business ownership disputes, construction litigation, business tort and contract litigation, federal criminal defense and firearms industry practice. His experience gives him a perspective on the bigger picture of trade laws and helps him understand the reasoning behind them, rather than just knowing the letter of the law. Between his prosecutorial experience, his hands-on experience in the Navy, and his advanced degree, Cameron’s understanding of ITAR and export controls goes beyond just the legal perspective.
The mission of the Naval War College is to educate future leaders of the Armed Forces, State Department, and other civilian agencies for high-level policy, command and staff responsibilities. To do this, NWC conducts a senior-level course of study in national security policy and strategy for selected U.S. and foreign military officers and federal officials.
