Williams Mullen Banking and Financial Services Partner Matthew E. Cheek Named a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation

Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Banking and Financial Services Partner Matt Cheek has been inducted as a member of the 2015 Virginia Law Foundation’s Class of Fellows. 

The Virginia Law Foundation is the charitable arm of Virginia’s lawyers and promotes through philanthropy projects related to access to justice, law related education and the rule of law. Each year the Foundation recognizes a group of Virginia lawyers, law professors and retired judges for their legal excellence and their community involvement. Mr. Cheek is one of 19 members of the 2015 Class of Fellows.

"There are a lot of rankings and awards for attorneys, but the ones that focus on the many quiet contributions made by citizen lawyers to our communities around the Commonwealth are the most meaningful,” said Mr. Cheek. “The VLF has done great work to promote access to justice and improve the legal profession in Virginia, and I count myself truly humbled and honored to be joining these ranks.”
