Williams Mullen Congratulates Brian Ball on Appointment as Secretary of Commerce and Trade
Williams Mullen is proud to congratulate Brian Ball on his recent appointment to become Virginia’s Secretary of Commerce and Trade. Brian worked at Williams Mullen for nearly 28 years before leaving in February to join Governor Ralph Northam’s administration.
During his time at Williams Mullen, Brian worked as a partner in the firm’s Corporate practice while also serving on the firm’s board of directors and as its general counsel. In addition to concentrating his practice on securities laws, corporate governance matters and mergers and acquisitions, he represented numerous companies interested in locating or expanding their operations in Virginia.
“We’re thrilled for Brian to have this opportunity to further serve the Commonwealth of Virginia,” Williams Mullen President and CEO Woody Fowler said. “We wish him all the best in his new role.”
