Williams Mullen Recognized in Chambers High Net Worth 2024 Guide

Williams Mullen’s Private Client & Fiduciary Services Practice and three of its attorneys were once again recognized in the Chambers High Net Worth 2024 Guide, touting the firm as one of the top private wealth services firms in Virginia. The practice includes eight attorneys throughout Virginia and offers an array of sophisticated estate planning services.

Aghdami has more than 30 years of experience assisting clients with wealth transfer tax planning, business succession planning, income tax planning for individuals and businesses, and fiduciary litigation. He is the southeast region chair of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and the immediate past Virginia state chair of the ACTEC. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® (2006-present) and was named the Richmond “Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year” in the 2016 and 2019 editions.

Durst advises high net worth individuals, business owners, and professionals with their estate planning needs including the preparation of wills and trusts. He currently serves as the chair of the Wills, Trusts & Estates Section of the Virginia Bar Association, was named a Fellow of ACTEC in 2019, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Trusts and Estates Law since 2018.

Piersall focuses her practice primarily on estate tax planning, estate and trust taxation and administration and elder law. She is chair of the Private Client & Fiduciary Services Practice at Williams Mullen and serves as a member of the firm's board of directors. Piersall was elected a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation in 2024, named to the 2022 Class of ‘Influential Women of Law’ by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, and elected a Fellow of the ACTEC in 2020. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Trusts and Estates Law since 2018.
