On Jan. 8, 2018, Groome Transportation closed on an equity investment by Cortec Group. Groome Transportation is a leading specialty ground transportation provider based in Richmond operating across 12 states in both the airport shuttle and closed-loop campus shuttle markets. Cortec Group focuses on investing in family/entrepreneur-owned specialty service businesses.  Williams Mullen represented Groome thoughout the deal process, which included a pre-closing reorganization with multiple subsidiaries in multiple states.  The team included Beth Hungate-Noland, Conrad Garcia, Jenny Connors, Judy Bristow, Christina Edwards, Bobby Hamlett and Ned Turnbull, among others.
