Williams Mullen Welcomes Corporate Associates Amish Patel, Sadullah Karimi
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Amish Patel and Sadullah Karimi have joined the firm as associates in the firm’s Corporate section. Mr. Patel will be based in the firm’s Raleigh office, and Mr. Karimi will be based in the firm’s Richmond office.
Mr. Patel is experienced in providing legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and private equity fundraising. Mr. Patel serves as outside general counsel to companies across a broad range of industries, including life sciences, manufacturing, medical device and software-as-a-service (SaaS).
Before attending law school and entering private practice, Mr. Patel had a successful consulting career at Accenture and Deloitte & Touche. He is a board member of the Morrisville Innovation Foundation, and he serves as the committee chair for the Morrisville Start Up Committee. Mr. Patel is fluent in Gujarati, and he earned a B.B.A. with a dual concentration in finance and information systems from The George Washington University and his Juris Doctor degree from Campbell University.

Mr. Karimi joined the firm as a law clerk in the fall after earning his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University. He represents public and private companies in general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, entity formation, corporate governance and other commercial transactions. He helps companies draft and negotiate M&A transaction documents, and he counsels clients throughout the closing process.
He is fluent in Farsi and Dari, and he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in homeland security emergency preparedness, as well as political science, from Virginia Commonwealth University.
