Williams Mullen Welcomes Senior Land Use Planner Wayne P. Nicholas
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Wayne P. Nicholas* has joined the firm as a senior land use planner in the Land Use Practice. He is based in the firm’s Raleigh office.
Nicholas works with clients on all aspects of the planning, zoning and development process for each project from start to finish. He helps clients with research, analysis and due diligence, preparing zoning reports, application materials and presentations, facilitating community meetings and outreach, and overall project management by working closely with local jurisdictions to effectively resolve unexpected delays and maintain progress throughout the project.
Nicholas is an AICP-certified planner who has experience with various types of projects including mixed-use, multi-family and townhome developments; telecommunications facilities; commercial centers, including retail, restaurant, office and hotels; redevelopment; affordable housing; conservation/open space subdivisions; historic preservation; and writing zoning and development ordinances.
Nicholas earned his Master of Science degree in Geography (focus on Planning and GIS) from the University of Southern Mississippi and his Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Worcester State University. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and the American Planning Association.
