Williams Mullen Welcomes Three First-Year Associates - Nov, 2017
Williams Mullen is pleased to welcome three first-year associates to the firm’s Business & Corporate practice. James M. “Jim” Giudice will be based in the Richmond office, Shayn A. Fernandez will be based in the Norfolk office and Robert L. “Rob” Hash will be based in the Raleigh office.
As members of the Business & Corporate practice, Mr. Giudice, Mr. Fernandez and Mr. Hash will represent public and private companies in general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, entity formation, corporate governance and other commercial transactions.
In addition, Mr. Fernandez will work with the firm’s Government Contracts practice to assist government contractors at the federal, state and local levels with teaming strategy and agreements, bid and proposal review, contract negotiation and formation, corporate reorganization, regulatory compliance and more.
Mr. Giudice earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Richmond, where he was an articles editor on the University of Richmond Law Review, and he served as president of the Veterans and Military Law Association. He is also a captain in the United States Martine Corps Reserves.
Mr. Fernandez earned his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Wake Forest University, where he was an editor of the Wake Forest Law Review. He won a CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Analysis, Writing & Research and was named an overall champion and best negotiator at the school’s Transactional Law Competition.
Mr. Hash earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of North Carolina, where he was a note & comment editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law. He is a member of the Town of Carrboro Economic Sustainability Commission, and he is also designated as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
