Richard D. Palmieri Named to 2022 Class of ‘Up & Coming Lawyers’ by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Richard D. Palmieri has been named to the 2022 class of "Up & Coming Lawyers" by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which recognizes top attorneys within their first ten years of practice, named 18 people to the 2022 class. The honorees were celebrated with an awards ceremony at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond.
Palmieri joined the Williams Mullen Corporate Section in the firm’s Richmond office in 2013 and was elected as a partner in 2022. He primarily represents public and private companies as well as strategic, private equity buyers and sellers in a variety of business transactions, including corporate formation and mergers and acquisitions. After assisting with over 100 transactions, he now adeptly serves as the lead transactional partner on many deals.
Palmieri is a member of the board of directors for the Richmond Forum and is also a past member of the Special Olympics Virginia Young Professionals Board (2018-2022), an organization dedicated to raising the visibility of Special Olympics and building new programs through fundraising, having previously served as its president (2021-2022). In his spare time, Palmieri serves as a NCAA Division III football official.
Palmieri received his Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law. Before attending law school, Palmieri earned his Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Science degree from North Carolina State University. He is listed among the “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers® (2021-present) and "Rising Stars" by Virginia Super Lawyers (2021-present).
