Philip J. Delano, CPA
Philip represents clients in matters related to the taxation of businesses, business owners and investors. He also provides domestic and international tax planning for businesses and individuals.
Philip also advises clients on executive and nonqualified deferred compensation and equity-based awards, and has significant experience with Internal Revenue Code section 280G. Philip also helps publicly traded and closely held employers with tax and design considerations for incentive arrangements.
Philip is a certified public accountant licensed in Virginia. Before law school, he worked as a tax manager at Ernst & Young. He served as the direct point of contact with client tax directors for both annual tax return preparation and technical tax questions, and also managed preparation process of foreign informational tax returns for clients in manufacturing, retail, and hospitality industries.
Philip earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where he served as a staff member for the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. During law school, he also participated in Student Legal Services and the Business Law Society and was a member of the IāAnson-Hoffman American Inn of Court.
He earned his B.A. in Accounting & History from William & Mary.
