David L. Dallas Named to 2023 Class of “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that David L. Dallas has been named to the 2023 class of “Leaders in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The awards program, which recognizes lawyers who they deem are setting the standard for other lawyers in Virginia, named 30 people to the 2023 class. The honorees will be celebrated during an awards ceremony at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond.
Dallas is the founding partner of Williams Mullen’s Charlottesville office, which opened in 2000, a former member of the firm’s board of directors and past chair of its Diversity Committee. His practice focuses principally on strategic planning, business structurings and financings, mergers and acquisitions, management incentive, succession and tax planning, large commercial and real estate transactions and dispute resolution for businesses and estate stakeholders.
Dallas is deeply committed to serving the Charlottesville community. He is involved in the Central Virginia Partnership for Economic Development and served as chair in 2016-2017. He also serves as director and treasurer of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Virginia Education Foundation, and he is a trustee emeritus of the Shenandoah National Park Trust. He is a former director of the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council and the Virginia Piedmont Technology Council.
Along with his involvement with local organizations, Dave is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association.
Dallas has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2007 and “Lawyer of the Year” four times. He has been recognized by Virginia Business “Legal Elite” (2009-present).
