Mike Kelly to Chair ULHR's 26th Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Awards Dinner

Congratulations to Mike Kelly, who was selected to serve as the Chair of the Urban League of Hampton Roads, Inc.’s (ULHR) 26^th Annual Whitney M. Young, Jr. Awards Dinner. The annual dinner honors  companies, organizations and people in Hampton Roads for their contributions to diversity and raises a significant portion of the annual revenue needs of the ULHR, which helps African-Americans and people of all races achieve independence and improve the quality of their lives through education and job training, enabling them to become a productive part of the workforce.

As Chair of the Dinner, Mike will oversee several sub-committees planning the event, work to increase the donor base by promoting the ULHR brand and speak at the dinner, which is set for May 5, 2016 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott and will be attended by more than 500 guests, including sponsors, business leaders and elected officials. The theme of the Dinner is, “Leading the charge for tomorrow’s workforce.” The keynote speaker will be Maurice Jones, Secretary of Commerce and Trade.
