Williams Mullen Adds Three Attorneys in Richmond - Oct, 2020
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Kaitlin Cottle, Philip Delano and Elizabeth Ritchie have joined the firm. Ms. Cottle will be joining the firm’s Corporate Section, Mr. Delano will be joining the firm’s Tax Law Section and Ms. Ritchie will be joining the Finance & Real Estate Section. All three of them will be working out of the Richmond office and participated in the firm’s 2019 Summer Associate program.
Ms. Cottle’s practice focuses on the representation of financial institutions, both public and private, including community banks, bank holding companies, savings institutions, investment banks and broker-dealers.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was on the editorial board for the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. During law school, she was the co-director of the National Lawyers Guild and was also a member of Virginia Law Women.
Mr. Delano represents clients in matters related to the taxation of businesses, business owners and investors. He also provides domestic and international tax planning for businesses and individuals.
He earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where he served as a staff member for the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. During law school, he also participated in Student Legal Services and the Business Law Society and was a member of the I’Anson-Hoffman American Inn of Court.
Ms. Ritchie focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions. She assists clients with all aspects of the development cycle, from negotiating the purchase/sale of land, to site development, land use entitlements, financing and leasing.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she was the Editor-In-Chief of the Richmond Public Interest Law Review. During law school, she also participated in Richmond Women’s Law, a mentor program with the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association.
