Williams Mullen Adds Two Corporate Attorneys
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Patrick Tomlinson and Nicholas Vretakis have joined the firm as members of our Corporate Section.
Tomlinson focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions, including leveraged buyouts, carve-out transactions, joint ventures, controlling and minority investments and other strategic transactions, as well as general corporate matters. He has significant experience representing private equity firms, as well as public and private companies in domestic and cross-border transactions across a broad range of industries.
Tomlinson received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. During law school, he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review and worked with start-up companies as part of the University of Virginia School of Law Transactional Law Clinic. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.
Vretakis focuses his practice on general corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, entity formation, contract review and negotiation and other commercial transactions, corporate governance and securities matters. He has experience counseling clients on reporting, proxy and other disclosure obligations imposed by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the blue sky laws of state securities regulators.
Vretakis received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law where he was a member of the Business Law Society. While in law school, he interned at the Division of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission and New York’s Nassau County District Attorney’s Office. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
