Williams Mullen Welcomes Business & Corporate Associate Wenhong You
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Wenhong You has joined the firm as an associate in the Virginia Beach office. Mr. You joins the firm’s Business & Corporate practice, where he will represent public and private companies in a wide range of business matters and general commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate structurings and financings, private placements and private equity and venture capital investments.
Before joining Williams Mullen, Wenhong served as general counsel for a health care venture capital fund with $100 million in assets under management.
“Wenhong is a talented and engaging attorney who will be an asset for several of our teams, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance,” Williams Mullen Business & Corporate Practice Chair Greg Bishop said. “We’re very excited for him to join our team and hit the ground running.”
Mr. You has extensive experience working with start-up companies in both the United States and China, and he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and the Shanghai Dialect.
A five-year veteran of the United States Navy, he served as deputy in-house counsel aboard an aircraft carrier; as an operations officer with a detainee task force in Afghanistan; and as a senior practice leader in Naval Legal Service Office Central’s Civil Law Department. He earned both his Juris Doctor degree and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia.
Mr. You is one of three associates to join Williams Mullen this month. Lauren Fussell joined the firm’s Litigation practice in Raleigh, while Aaron Siegrist joined the firm’s Labor & Employment practice in Richmond.
