Williams Mullen Welcomes Former VACB CEO Pat Satterfield
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Pat Satterfield, former CEO of the Virginia Association of Community Banks, has joined Williams Mullen as Community Bank Relationship Manager. She will be working out of the Richmond office.
Ms. Satterfield has more than thirty years’ experience in the regulatory and advocacy field, including her time at the VACB from 1985 until she retired in 2012. During this period, she oversaw the organization’s growth and worked closely with high-level executives at banks and other VACB members. Under Ms. Satterfield, the organization held numerous seminars on topics like regulatory compliance, internal audits, legal briefings and strategic planning to help community banks understand the state of the industry and regulatory climate. In meeting and working directly with bank executives, she also helped address common concerns and handled all lobbying for the VACB at the state and national level.
“Pat will communicate with Virginia bankers as only she can, and help us to better serve our banking clients,” said Wayne Whitham, a Partner in the firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice. “Her deep understanding of the challenges facing financial institutions will benefit our clients and strengthen our relationships with community banks.”
Pat is a graduate of Mary Washington College, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science. She also completed a Graduate Study of History at the University of Richmond.
