Williams Mullen Welcomes Two New Attorneys
Williams Mullen is pleased to announce that Sara Shariff and John G. Tamasitis have joined the firm. Shariff joins the Senior Housing Transactions Team in the Richmond office, and Tamasitis joins the Litigation Section in the Columbia office.
Shariff concentrates her practice on the senior housing industry, and more broadly on general corporate matters. She has experience assisting small and mid-size business entities with formation, mergers and acquisitions, purchase agreements, corporate policy development, and contract drafting and negotiation. Shariff received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, her Certificate in bioethics from Yale University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tamasitis represents clients in state and federal courts in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including products liability defense, business contract disputes, financial services litigation, environmental litigation and local zoning and regulatory matters. Tamasitis has extensive experience guiding corporate clients in a variety of matters involving commercial contracts, construction defects, corporate bankruptcy and insolvency, as well as creditors’ rights issues. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, magna cum laude, and his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
