Cassidy Galindo concentrates on energy project development, energy transactional matters and related federal and state regulatory issues. In particular, Cassidy focuses on helping clients develop, construct, own, operate and manage electric power projects utilizing renewable resources. Cassidy also assists clients in performing due diligence evaluations regarding the acquisition, sale and financing of energy projects. In addition, she supports large industrial end-users with their energy purchasing needs and requirements.

Cassidy represents clients on matters concerning regulated and non-regulated utilities before the Virginia State Corporation Commission. She brings deep industry experience serving utility companies, electric cooperatives, and data centers, in regulatory matters concerning rate cases, tariff adjustments, affiliate transactions, certification of facilities, and pole attachments.

Cassidy also represents clients in the tobacco-related product industry on compliance and business issues under federal law, including regulation by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. In addition, she advises clients on state and local regulations applicable to the manufacture, distribution, retail sale, and marketing of tobacco-related products.

Before joining Williams Mullen, Cassidy served as the managing editor for the University of Richmond Law Review. She earned her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law and her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in psychology from West Virginia University, where she served as the policy and standards board chair for Pi Beta Phi.
